Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ebonyi State, Stanley Okoro Emegha has charged the former Deputy Whip of the state House of Assembly, Frank Onwe to support the peace-building efforts of Governor Nwifuru in his community, Effium in Ohaukwu council area.

Emegha, who spoke during the defection of Onwe from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling party, APC, noted that the state government alone cannot fully restore absolute peace and tranquillity without the willingness and contributions of major stakeholders and the generality of the indigenous people of the area.

The APC helmsman thanked Onwe and his loyalists for taking the bold step and stressed the need for all to rally around Governor Nwifuru’s human-oriented administration for more dividends of democracy.

He re-emphasized the resolve of the state government to accommodate every interest that can help propel the socio-economic well-being of Ebonyi people without any infraction.

Emegha reiterated his resolve to ensure that he brings everyone into the APC fold for mutual benefit.

Meanwhile, the ex-lawmaker who represented Ohaukwu North Constituency in the Ebonyi state House of Assembly between 2011 and 2019, Frank Onwe appreciated the warm reception he received from the party and commended the giant strides of the Governor so far.

He also pledged to be a loyal party faithful who will be part of rebuilding his community and the state.
