Ogalla: Oil thieves, bunkerers behind attack on Naval Chief – Enugu youths to Tinubu

The youth wing of Enugu General Assembly has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ignore what they called a smear campaign against the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla.

Pmnews.ng reports that late last week, a report had emerged accusing the Naval Chief of involving himself in some shoddy contract awards.

However, the Nigerian Navy quickly debunked the allegations.

Speaking similarly during a press briefing in Enugu on Monday, the youths described the media attacks on Ogalla as despicable and unacceptable.

The press briefing was addressed by the National Secretary of the organisation, Comrade Emeka Ezeugwu.

He warned that the Youths’ Forum would not sit by and watch while some disgruntled elements dragged the name of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla to the mud.

While noting that Ogalla had maintained a high level of discipline and integrity, Ezeugwu said the sponsored publications “are the handiwork of bunkerers and oil thieves whom Ogalla is checkmating. We are urging Mr President to ignore them.

“This is our last warning to these groups of individuals who have designed a deliberate plot to harass and intimidate the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, out of office.

“The culprits obviously are oil thieves who have met a brick wall in the very competent and incorruptible Naval Chief.

“The allegations in their campaign of calumny have no facts, otherwise they would have since presented them.”

“Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla is a highly respected Enugu son.

“We are proud of him; we trust him; we have confidence in him; we will fight his battle,” the youths declared.
