Miyetti Allah security outfit recipe for anarchy – Shehu Sani

Former lawmaker and social critic, Senator Shehu Sani, on Wednesday said that Miyetti Allah or any ethno-cultural group setting up a security outfit could be a recipe for anarchy.

Sani stated that the Nasarawa State Government could set up a security outfit or vigilante group if they wanted to, and not by Miyetti Allah.

The statement followed a report that Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural group, unveiled a vigilante group in the state.

The unveiling of the vigilante group took place last week in Lafia, the Nasarawa capital.

The national president of the Miyetti Allah, Bello Bodejo, claimed the “Nomad vigilante group” would help security agencies in combatting criminal activities in the state.

However, in a post on his X handle on Wednesday, the former senator has expressed concern about the development, saying it could be a recipe for disaster.

“Nasarawa State Government can set up a security outfit or vigilante group if they want to, but Miyetti in Nasarawa or any ethno cultural group setting up a security outfit can be a recipe for anarchy,” he wrote.
