Some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Kogi State were alleged to have been caught with pre-recorded result sheets on Saturday.

One of the accredited observers from YIAGA Africa raised the alarm about the proliferation of the pre-filled result sheet in PU 020, Eika/Ohizenyi, Okehi LGA of the State.

According to YIAGA Africa, the same development was witnessed in PU 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.

In a post on X, the observer group asked the INEC to investigate and address the issue to safeguard the integrity of the process.

“Dear @inecnigeria we received report of pre-filled results sheet discovered in PU 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/magongo in Kogi state before commencement of voting. Kindly investigate and address this issue promptly to safeguard the integrity of the process,” it wrote .

Also, Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate has raised an alarm that all the result sheets had been filled.

Melaye called on his agents and voters in the state to reject the anomaly and protest until the “compromised” INEC officials showed them a plain result sheet.
