Hajiya Huriyya, who received the boy in her office on Thursday, promised to enrol him in military school if he shows interest in studying.
She also promised to render financial assistance to the boy and his mother.
Earlier, Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Development Affairs, Dr Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, pledged the state government’s support for the boy.

The governor’s wife, while receiving the boy on Thursday, urged him to forget about seeking revenge.
